We had the incredible opportunity to attend the VIP Exclusive Preview at Universal Studios of the new Harry Potter film called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We were the only agency selected to attend this pre-party and Harry Potter preview with Universal Studios and Warner Brothers executives and VIPs. The party at Universal Studios kicked off at the Coconut Club at Universal’s CityWalk with an open bar, appetizers, and desserts. The Coconut Club even had a DJ playing some great music to get the Harry Potter Deathly Hallows party rolling.
Once it was time to head to the theater for the preview, we took to the red carpet. Inside the Universal CinePlex, we enjoyed popcorn, candy, sodas, and an open bar as we headed to the theater. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows started right at 7:30 without any previews.
The Harry Potter 7 film was amazing! You laugh, you cry, you jump out of your seat, and the cliff hanger at the end will keep you wanting more. In the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Voldemort is on the hunt to find and kill Harry Potter. The Ministry tries to keep him safe, but Harry Potter decides he must go out on his own to find and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality, which is the Horcruxes. Along the way Harry, Ron and Hermione meet challenges and fight for their lives as they try to find and destroy the Horcruxes.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was action packed, but there were some slower scenes. The slower part of the film focuses on gifts that Dumbledore gives Harry, Ron and Hermione in his will. The gifts puzzle the three and it takes them some time to figure out how these gifts work. It was a nice contrast to have lots of action and then more thought provoking scenes as the three figure out how to use these gifts.
One of my favorite scenes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the story of the Deathly Hallows. I thought this was a wonderful way to portray the story of the Deathly Hallows. The story of the Deathly Hallows includes three brothers that try to cheat Death. Each brother is given a power by Death himself that the brothers think will help them beat death. The three powers are the Cloak of Invisibility, the most powerful wand called the Elder Wand, and the Resurrection Stone. Harry, Ron and Hermione work to piece together the story of the Deathly Hallows and how it fits in with their search to destroy Voldemort.
There was so much action in this film, including a scene at the very beginning of the film called The Seven Potters. In this scene friends and members of the Ministry try to move Harry Potter from his home to a safe place away from Voldemort and the Death Eaters. Before moving Harry Potter, they must trick Voldemort and the Death Eaters by using a potion that turns everyone into Harry Potter. This is quite a funny scene as everyone is transformed into many Harry Potters. It then turns into action as Hagrid takes Harry Potter off on his motorbike to the safe hideout. Unfortunately, Voldemort was tipped off when Harry Potter was going to be moved and it turned into trouble for Harry Potter and his friends as Death Eaters were waiting for them. It is an action packed beginning to the Harry Potter movie.
Besides lots of action, there are several emotional scenes including a rather passionate kiss between Harry Potter and Hermione. I will leave more details about this kiss for you to discover in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The movie was amazing with great action scenes, emotion, and laughter. It was an amazing preview and I look forward to seeing it again when it hits the theaters on Friday, November 19.
