We love Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. However, we love Harry Potter family fun at home, too. We have Butterbeer Movie Nights, baking, and even simple crafts like making Nargles.
We wanted to share 30 Harry Potter at home activities to create some ✨ magic with your family.

Sorting Cupcake Ceremony
Our favorite Harry Potter movie is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. In this movie, Harry Potter and his friends are sorted into the Hogwarts Houses. We love this part of the movie.
A fun activity to do at home is the Sorting Cupcake Ceremony. For a project for your kids, you can have them read a few of the chapters of the book until the Sorting Hat Ceremony. Then you can make these cupcakes.
We do love simple recipes. You can just use box cake and ready made frosting. You just add a little bit of food dye to make the sorting surprise for each cupcake.

Make Butterbeer
We love making Butterbeer recipes on this blog! This is certainly a family favorite. One of the easiest recipes is this hot Butterbeer with only 4 ingredients.

We love buying inexpensive charms from Etsy. You can buy HP charms for as little as $1 on this site. Plus, these charms are shipped right to your home.
You can then make different crafts with the charms.

My son can spend hours and hours playing with LEGOS. I love to combine homeschool time with reading a Harry Potter book and playing with Harry Potter LEGOS. It is a fun creative activity!
