Harry Potter Cake Printable Recipe

Ingredients

Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Rum Extract
  • 8 oz Hot Coffee

Frosting Ingredients

  • 16 oz Chocolate Frosting
  • 7 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Butter (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Pink Food Coloring
  • Green Food Coloring

Instructions

Cake Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease 2 round cake pans.

  3. In a bowl, mix cake flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

  4. Mix in eggs (one at a time).

  5. Add olive oil, vanilla, and rum extracts.

  6. Pour in hot coffee (being careful of the coffee splashing)

  7. Add dry ingredients into the bowl.

  8. Add the white vinegar and stir.

  9. Pour into round pans and bake for 35-40 minutes.

  10. Once baked, pull out and cool on a rack for about an hour.

  11. Then wrap in plastic wrap and cool in the refrigerator overnight.

Frosting Instructions

  1. Spread the chocolate frosting on one of the round cakes.

  2. Place the second round cake on top of the frosting.

  3. Mix powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract with a mixer.

  4. Slowly add heavy whipping cream. Frosting should be a thick buttercream.

  5. Take a cup of frosting and add it to a separate bowl. Mix in pink food coloring to turn the frosting a light pink color.

  6. Frost the entire cake with the pink frosting.

  7. Let chill for an hour in the refrigerator.

  8. Write "Happee Birthdae Harry" on the top of the cake
