After being open for nearly a year, Universal Orlando has reported the first injuries on the Harry Potter ride during the first quarter of this year, according to state records.
Between January 1 and March 31, two men were injured while riding Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. A 60 year old man lost consciousness on the ride and a 57 year old man had chest pains.
With the tossing around on the ride and the frequent early breakdowns, I’m surprised the ride went this long without any injuries. Also, you have to be pretty light on your feet to get in the ride vehicle at times, so I could easily see a twisted ankle here and there.
As with all Florida theme park rides, cautionary warnings line the queue for the Harry Potter ride, including anyone with heart conditions, pregnant women, and so on. However, I’m sure the ride could bring out some unknown conditions for certain riders.
What do you think? Will these injuries stop you from riding Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey?
