Believe it or not, a lot of people still think you need a separate ticket for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter park. We get this question quite frequently.
This is likely due to a couple of reasons. Universal Orlando marketed the Harry Potter park as a “park within a park” rather than as a new “island” in the Islands of Adventure theme park. This gives the impression that it’s a separate park, altogether. While the Wizarding World does separate you from the rest of the Islands theme park, it’s still part of Islands of Adventure.
Also, some days, there’s actually a line just to get into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Not the ride, not the shops, a line just to get onto the island for the privilege to wait in more long lines for rides and shops. With this rationed admission to the island, I can see where someone might get the impression that it requires a separate ticket.
