Universal Orlando offers several options for Character Dining both at the theme parks and at the resorts. This is a great meal experience to supplement your character meet/greets at the theme parks.
Universal’s Superstar Character Breakfast: Takes place at Cafe La Bamba in Universal Studios. This Universal Orlando Character Dining event was originally created as part of the “Year to be Here” theme. The Character breakfast features characters from Nickelodeon, the hit comedy Hop, and Despicable Me and provides access to an exclusive viewing area, on the day of the breakfast, for Universal’s Superstar Parade featuring one-of-a-kind music, incredible floats and opportunities to interact with some of the characters. Universal’s Superstar Character Breakfast costs $25.99/Adult and $12.99/Child and can be added to any vacation package in advance.
The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast: Takes place at Circus McGurkus Cafe at Islands of Adventure theme park. This seasonal holiday breakfast features meet/greet and photo opportunities with the Grinch himself and other characters from Dr. Seuss books. Choose from green eggs and ham and other breakfast favorites at this event. 2015 dates are Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 24-31. Cost is $25.99/adult and $12.99/child.
In addition to the Theme Park Character Breakfasts, Universal Orlando also offers Character Dining Experiences at 3 of the Onsite Resorts. Note that Character Dinner dates/times are subject to change based on seasonal demand.
- Trattoria del Porto at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel: Fridays 6:30-9:30pm
- The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel: Tuesdays 8-11am, Wednesdays and Saturdays 6pm-9pm.
- Islands Dining Room at Loews Royal Pacific Resort: Sundays 7am-12pm and select evenings
