One of my favorite annual events is Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. Of course, everyone loves the haunted houses and scare zones, but there are also some additional fun finds you can get during the event. Here are some of our favorite things to do at Halloween Horror Nights 26 other than haunted houses!
Spooky Face Painting
At Halloween Horror Nights, you can always see people walking around the event with incredible face paint… everything from skulls and demons to creepy pumpkins. You can customize your design with choice of color, amount of glitter (if you want it) and whether it’s a full face or half face design. You will probably get compliments all night long and it should hold through the entire event. I definitely recommend trying it out and getting in the Halloween spirit.
Academy of Villains: House of Fear
Amongst all of the scares and screams at Horror Nights, there’s the Academy of Villains – a powerhouse performance of dance, specialty acts, music and of course, pyro. Every year, Universal’s Entertainment team puts on mind-blowing shows during Horror Nights and this year is no exception. Even if you’ve seen this show before, the troupe of inmates bring the same passion and dedication with each performance. It’s definitely a must see!
Halloween Horror Nights 26 Collectible Skulls
Many Halloween Horror Nights fans are huge collectors and love taking home a piece of Horror Nights with them every year. You can stop by The Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store and discover these incredible collectible skulls. They vary in size and feature awesome artwork and designs on them. Some of them are Chance inspired and others bear iconic horror themes. You can check out the other awesome event merchandise here.
Two Words: TWISTED TATERS!
Even if you’ve had Twisted Taters before, they’re only offered during annual events. Every year, you can grab one of these delicious spirals of potato. You can choose from four different seasonings: Sour Cream & Chive (my personal favorite), Garlic Butter, Seasoned Salt, and Salt & Vinegar. They also have some new food offerings this year.
Hold the Horror in Your Hands
Smart phones can make our lives a lot easier and being able to check out where all the haunts are located this year with the Official Universal Orlando Resort App is a plus to planning out your night. You can see where all the houses, scare zones and shows are located as well as the rides that are open. Of course, a major bonus is checking the wait times for all the attractions.
